Internet Business – Leveraging your Blog with Twitter and AWeber

by doug on 17 April, 2009

Internet business requires traffic, which requires articles on your blog.  And in your newsletter.  And in article directories.  Leveraging social media such as Twitter doesn’t harm either.

As a business owner, you are busy, so how do you keep on top of all of this.

There are two halves to this: one is getting content, the other is using it efficiently. You can write your own content, or hire a writer to produce it for you.  There are pros and cons to both approaches, which I will write about in another article.

Either way, your content costs you time and money.   You need to make the best use of it.

The first thing to do with a new article, is post it on your blog.  You need to post a lot of relevant content, especially when you are first building your blog.  One post a month will not get you to the top of Google for any key word of any interest any time soon, in most cases.

Posting to your blog often maintains reader interest, and boosts your ratings with Google.

While you are posting to your blog, what else can you do?

Well, with very little effort, you can tweet out each new blog posting.  I have already written about WP to Twitter in another article.

There is a whole world of social media, which you will probably see more of on Internet Business Accelerator Blog.  Playing with such things can be a big time waster, so I promise to explain only useful procedures.  The purpose of this blog is to help accelerate your business.

What else can you do with your posts?

If you have signed up for the Internet Business Accelerator blog update by email, then you are experiencing another way.

Building your list is another important internet business accelerating activity.  With no extra effort, you can use your regular blog posting to accomplish this.

First, of all, use an autoresponder, such as AWeber, to retain your mailing list, and automatically send an email to your list on a regular basis, consisting of article summaries from your blog.

You can set up AWeber to keep tabs on your website and send the emails immediately or on a schedule, with no intervention from you.

Once your new article has been indexed by Google, you can submit it to various article directories, spreading your name, and links back to your blog, far and wide.

These are just a few things you can do with existing content.  The trick is to take one piece of content and use it in many ways that build traffic to your blog, build your mailing list, and use that as the basis to build your business.

At first, you may not notice big results.  Over time, as you consistently create and publish content, you will see an ever expanding stream of traffic to your internet business.
